Bank to remain close in august

Look list to help you schedule your activities linked to banks well in advance, the Reserve Bank of India has published a list of bank holidays.


In August of this year, banks will be closed on 14 of those days. In addition to the second and fourth Saturdays, all Sundays will see bank closures. You can schedule any job involving banks well in advance thanks to the Reserve Bank of India’s publication of the list of bank holidays.

Bank Holiday in 3 Catagories

The three categories of bank holidays, according to the RBI, are Real Time Gross Settlement Holiday, Holiday Under Negotiable Instruments Act, and Banks’ Closing of Accounts Holiday.
Tendong Lho Rum Faat, the Fourth of July, the Parsi New Year (Shahenshahi), the Tithi of Srimanta Sankardeva, the First Onam, Thiruvonam, Raksha Bandhan, and Raksha Bandhan/Sree Narayana Guru Jayanthi/Pang-Lhabsol are among the eight bank holidays.

Sikkim has a bank holiday on August 8 (Tendong Lho Rum Faat).

August 15 is a bank holiday throughout India.

Bank holidays are observed in Belapur, Mumbai, and Nagpur on August 16 (Parsi New Year, Shahenshahi).

Guwahati has a bank holiday on August 18 (Srimanta Sankardeva’s Day).

First Onam Day, August 28, is a holiday in Kochi and Thiruvananthapuram.

In Kochi and Thiruvananthapuram, August 29 is a holiday.

Raksha Bandhan, August 30: Shimla and Jaipur have a holiday.
Dehradun, Gangtok, Kanpur, Kochi, Lucknow, and Thiruvananthapuram all observe bank holidays on August 31 in observance of Raksha Bandhan, Sri Narayana Guru Jayanthi, and Pang-Lhabsol.

In the event that you need to conduct financial transactions over the holidays, you can do so via WhatsApp banking, internet banking, and mobile banking. But make sure you’ve signed up for these services in advance.
